Integration

Standard Libraries

  • CubeCart
  • JShop
  • OSCommerce
  • Positive Internet
  • ZenCart

Implementing a new ECommerce system is straight forward, if you have a particular requirement please call us.

The Realtime Despatch system has integration libraries available for the following ECommerce systems:

  • CubeCart
  • JShop
  • OSCommerce
  • Posicart
  • ZenCart

Developing libraries to support the integration of other database driven shopping carts is straightforward and is usually done as part of the standard customer implementation.

Order Import

Orders can be imported from 3rd party applications (typically Ecommerce shopping carts) by using either an ODBC link to an intermediate database or by establishing an FTP connection to a fileserver and importing a structured CSV file.

The standard integration work required to import orders from an ECommerce shopping cart can be done within the application's admin screens. No bespoke development work is required.

Incoming orders are fully validated as a part of the import process.

Product and Category Synchronisation

The product details used by the shopping cart system and the Realtime Despatch system need to be synchronised, ensuring that whenever products are created or modified within the shopping cart any relevant changes are reflected within the warehousing and order processing modules of the Realtime Despatch system.

Synchronisation of product details, categories and other detail defined within the shopping cart is achieved using database event triggers and stored procedures. This approach is flexible, efficient and requires no additional administrative work to be done on the host system.

Sage Integration

The Realtime Despatch software produces the paperwork that is despatched with the order at the point it is being packed. However you may still wish to pass order level detail about your sales to your accounts application, either for management accounting or for the end-of-year accounts.

The Realtime Despatch application makes it easy to export order, product and supplier information to your accounts package if required. The standard implementation includes reports that produce XML or CSV output that can be passed to Sage Line 50. These reports can be easily modified if another format is required.

Sage Line 50 does not include an order import function, we recommend the WebXeL utility which makes the order import from either your website or the Realtime Despatch application very straightforward, removing the need to rekey order information into the Sage accounts package.
