Our products are extremely configurable, supporting a very wide range of business requirements without the need for bespoke development. This flexibility also means that it takes time, effort and knowledge to set up the best solution for your business.
Our implementation service is usually delivered in three stages:
- one day on-site for detailed requirements capture
- up to five days off-site implementation work
- one to three days of on-site support and training around the launch date, depending on complexity, plus travel and accommodation
A typical implementation will involve the following elements:
- initial set up of test system
- scoping of requirements, both functional and non-functional
- creation of implementation plan
- creation of test plan
- workflow customisation
- help in commissioning business data, such as warehouse products, categories and locations
- scripting of order import data to ensure that it is mapped to system to suit business requirements
- configuration/scripting of rules for courier selection
- configuration of picking batches for optimised order processing
- setup of the RTD Print Service application instance(s) for high volume printing
- configuration of courier integration
- configuration of interfaces with third party systems
- initial set up of live system
- live transition steps (e.g. importing stock figures)
As well as detailing what work is required the on-site requirements capture will aim to identify what work might be done in-house. If the required data (locations, products, stock etc.) is available in spreadsheet form much of the data import work can be done by your own IT or operational staff.
Implementation work beyond the agreed time frame will be charged at our normal daily rate.
