Courier Integration
The Realtime Despatch system allows labels to be produced automatically, with no need for the user to access the courier systems to produce the labels required to pack and despatch orders. Where appropriate the tracking reference needed to track the progress of a delivery is captured and associated with the order.
The standard implementation supports the following delivery options:
DPD and Interlink Express - Ship@Ease integration
When an order is to be despatched using Interlink Express or DPD (was Parceline) the recipient name, delivery address information and any delivery instructions are then exported to the GeoPost Ship@Ease software which produces the required labels and returns the tracking reference.
Guernsey Post and Jersey Post
Realtime Despatch supports the production of Jersey Post and Guernsey Post address labels and the postcode pre-sorting of deliveries to UK addresses from the Channel Islands. We also support the generation of CN22 customs clearance documentation.
Initial City Link - Xtend integration
When an order is to be despatched using City Link the packer is prompted to specify whether the order is a LinkLetter, CityPack or Parcel and how many labels are required. The recipient name, delivery address information and any delivery instructions are then exported to the City Link Xtend (previously called CLAN) software which produces the required labels.
Parcelforce integration
When an order is to be despatched using Parcelforce the barcode label is produced directly by the Realtime Despatch system. A driver manifest is produced and an electronic version of the document sent to Parcelforce when the collection is made. The tracking reference is captured by the Realtime Despatch system and is inserted in the email sent to the recipient so they can track the progress of their delivery.
Royal Mail - Despatch Express integration
The Despatch Express order processing module now supports the production of Royal Mail address labels via the Royal Mail Despatch Express software.
The services include; Special Delivery, Tracked, Standard 1st and 2nd Class, Packet Post, PacketSort, Overseas Letters Airmail, Overseas Letters Surface, International Contract Airsure, International Format Sort and International Zone Sort.
The integration module allows Royal Mail labels to be produced for all the above services with no rekeying of information. Where applicable the Royal Mail tracking reference is automatically returned to the Despatch Express system and can be included in the despatch notification email sent to the recipient.
Royal Mail - Packet Post
Royal Mail PPI labels can be produced directly from the Realtime Despatch system, either on a peel-off label as part of the customer paperwork or separately on thermal printers.
UPS - Worldship integration
When an order is to be despatched using UPS the packer is prompted to specify how many labels are required. The recipient name, delivery address information and any delivery instructions are then exported to the Worldship software which produces the required labels and returns the tracking reference.
The system makes it easy to define the format of address labels and courier manifests, the modular design of the service means that other courier services can be easily integrated as required.
